At a glance
- 2,181 job listings in 90 days (all 2,181 Tanqeeb reported)
- 31.8% posted by hotels, about 1 in 3; Marriott brands alone 15.6%
- 0 of the 694 hotel listings shows a salary
- 5.7% of all listings show a salary; the median is BHD 475 a month
- 12.1% posted by recruitment agencies
- 97.8% labelled Manama, because the three boards that supply almost everything file Bahrain jobs under "Manama"
How the data was collected
Tanqeeb is a job aggregator with a site per country. Bahrain had 2,181 listings in the last 90 days, so one search was enough: 110 result pages, none failed. Tanqeeb's terms don't prohibit this, its robots.txt allows the pages used, and no personal data was kept.
1. Hotels: 1 listing in 3
Recruitment and staffing agencies
| Group | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Hotels | 694 | 31.8% |
| Marriott brands | 341 | 15.6% |
| Recruitment agencies | 263 | 12.1% |
Marriott (200), Accor (182), The Ritz-Carlton (59), Westin (41), Four Seasons (40) and Sheraton (33) are six of the ten employers with the most listings. Hotels repeat roles more than most employers do; counting each title once per hotel, they are still 26.8% of distinct roles.
Not every hotel listing is in Bahrain. Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa (18 listings) is in Egypt and Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh (10) is in Saudi Arabia, but both are labelled Bahrain. The same Luxor hotel turned up in Kuwait's data.
Recruitment agencies posted 263 listings: VAM Systems (43, IT roles, several at banks), Dolphin Manpower (42, technicians and operators), Propel Consult (28), and others posting as "Client of".
Bahraini employers come next: Gulf Air (53, from cabin crew to A320 second officers), Nass Group (17), Bapco, the Bahrain Petroleum Company (13). US government contractors (KBR, Amentum, V2X, Leidos) posted 32, for base-support roles such as galley manager, aircraft mechanic and TRICARE beneficiary services.
2. No salaries from hotels
124 of 2,181 listings show a salary (5.7%). Among the 101 in Bahraini dinars, the median advertised midpoint is BHD 475 (mostly monthly); the 10th to 90th percentile runs from BHD 165 to BHD 2,250. Most come from Naukri Gulf (70) and from listings Tanqeeb posts itself (24 of its 32).
None of the 694 hotel listings shows a salary. Bayt shows one on 2% of its listings and GulfTalent on 3.1%. 23 salaries are in US dollars, euros or dirhams and are left out of the median, and a few are placeholders ("BHD 1 - 50000").
3. Three Gulf boards, one label
| Board | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Naukri Gulf | 941 | 43.1% |
| Bayt | 648 | 29.7% |
| GulfTalent | 545 | 25.0% |
| Everything else | 47 | 2.2% |
All three are Gulf-based boards, and all three file Bahrain jobs under "Manama". So the 97.8% for Manama says where the boards put the jobs, not where they are. On the 32 listings Tanqeeb posts itself, with exact locations, Manama is 59%. LinkedIn has 2.
GulfTalent also shows 124 listings with the employer given only as "Bahrain" (Python developers, chatbot developers, mortgage underwriters). They are counted here as having no company name.
4. What the jobs look like
| Category | Listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Information Technology | 224 | 10.3% |
| Sales | 217 | 9.9% |
| Administration | 213 | 9.8% |
| Other | 213 | 9.8% |
| Accounting, Finance & Banking | 170 | 7.8% |
| Engineering | 160 | 7.3% |
| Hospitality & Tourism | 149 | 6.8% |
| Education & Training | 112 | 5.1% |
"Information Technology" needs a warning: 111 of its 224 listings are hotel jobs (baristas, lifeguards, commis chefs), 108 of them from GulfTalent. Without them, Sales and Administration lead.
- 99.2% full-time, 95.9% on-site; remote or hybrid 4.1%. Almost half of the remote listings are freelance AI-training work from Mindrift (45 listings: presentation designers, voice recording, Python).
- Every title is in English.
- 28 listings are for residents of Bahrain only, and 9 titles ask for Bahraini nationals.
- Where a gender is stated (84 listings, mostly on Naukri Gulf), 76 ask for men.
5. When listings appear
- 11Sun
- 25Mon
- 27Tue
- 25Wed
- 21Thu
- 23Fri
- 6Sat
Bahrain's weekend is Friday and Saturday, and Sunday is a working day. Yet Sunday gets 11 new listings on an average day, against 27 on Tuesday, while Friday still gets 23. As in Algeria, the reason is the boards: Naukri Gulf, the biggest one, posts mostly Monday to Friday. July 29 is left out of the averages: GulfTalent added 392 listings that day.

Bahrain and Qatar have the same hotel share (31.8% and 31.7%); only Jordan is higher. On salaries Bahrain sits in the middle of the table.
What this data does not show
- Listings on one aggregator, not every job in Bahrain, and not hires. Bahrain's own boards and the government's employment services carry jobs that may not reach Tanqeeb.
- At least 28 hotel listings are abroad (Egypt, Saudi Arabia), and 10 from Zain Kuwait may be in Kuwait (kept as published).
- 20.7% look like repeats; counting each once leaves 1,730 distinct roles.
- A missing salary does not mean a job is unpaid.
